Performed by the SILENTIUM! Ensemble under the artistic direction of Andreas Scholl, who will take on an unusual role for this concert as conductor, the programme features works by G. F. Handel, J. D. Zelenka, and J. J. Fux – composers closely associated with the European tradition of music written for crowned heads. Highlights include Handel’s majestic Zadok the Priest, Zelenka’s festive Te Deum, and Fux’s spectacular Sinfonia “Turcaria”.
