CONCERT FROM THE ZNOJMO ARCHIVES: CAPELLA SEBASTIAN
This year’s concert programme focuses on the circle of composers working in the circle of Emperor Rudolf II in Prague at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. Many of these composers were so European famous and well-known that their music quickly began to be disseminated and copied in many church choirs, even across Catholic and Protestant faiths. Znojmo was no exception in this respect. It too was in contact with musical Prague, as evidenced by the many prints purchased by the city council or other spiritual institutions of Znojmo.
