This band brings energetic original music from Brno’s vibrant underground scene, blending jazz with funk, rock and Moravian folk traditions. The young group has performed at festivals both in the Czech Republic and abroad. As finalists in the Jazzfruit 2024 competition, they also appeared at Kraftwerk Mitte Fest in Dresden and at Prague’s Jazz Dock. Two of the band members studied jazz performance at JAMU, and their music reflects not only their musical maturity but, above all, their passion for experimentation, surprises and letting loose on stage.

To mark the 90th anniversary of George Gershwin’s death, we present an evening dedicated to his unmistakable melodies. The programme will feature famous songs that have become part of the world’s musical heritage, including Summertime, I Got Rhythm, The Man I Love, and more.

Gershwin’s music brings together elegance, passion, melancholy, and the joy of life, showing how naturally classical virtuosity, jazz rhythms, and the power of the human voice can coexist.

Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the bilingual Školka bez hranic (Kindergarten Without Borders) in Mitterretzbach, Lower Austria.

From 6 pm, enjoy a New Year’s toast with sparkling wine from Hagn Winery in Mailberg, Austria, in the theatre foyer.

This Znojmo-based jazz band focuses on authentic pre-swing jazz, traditional jazz and Dixieland. Their repertoire consists mainly of evergreen classics from the first half of the 20th century and music inspired by the roots of jazz along the Mississippi. The band is an integral part of Znojmo’s jazz scene and regularly performs at local cultural events.
