Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers (CZ)
A festive evening of swing dance, held for the first time in the newly renovated hall of Centrum Jízdárna, conducted by Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers. This Czech orchestra, performing jazz, swing, and dance music from the 1920s, 30s, and early 40s, needs no further introduction. Their diverse repertoire features a wide range of attractive pieces—sweet and hot—spanning Hollywood musicals to the greatest swing big-band numbers. The concert show is styled in every detail to reflect the era, from performers’ costumes and hairstyles to the overall stage direction.
We would like to inform visitors that tickets for the ball in the hall with reserved seating at tables are already sold out.
However, it is still possible to purchase tickets:
* for standing without reserved seating,
* or for the area by the bar.
Please note that access to the main hall from the bar area is via a connecting corridor.
Event description
Anyone can come to the swing ball! You will have fun whether you have a partner for dancing or not. You can just listen to the music or actively join in on the dance floor. And it really doesn’t matter if you know how to dance to swing music or not.
